Once upon a time, in the heart of Marrakech, I found myself immersed in the world of Fckng Serious. It was a transcended musical journey creating memories that would be etched in my mind.

The Arrival
As I approached the festival grounds we can see the massive stage from far, the anticipation built up inside me. The air was buzzing with excitement, and the vibrant lights illuminated the night sky. The sounds of thumping bass and laughter filled the air, drawing me closer to the epicenter of the event.
But before the festivities began, there were a few hiccups along the way. We had used the “GetIn” option for entry, which unfortunately you don’t Get In easily… resulted in a lengthy wait of about an hour. On the other hand, those with “Guichet” option breezed through the entrance without any delays. It was a small setback, but it didn’t dampen our spirits.
Uniting with the Ravers
Entering the festival grounds, I was greeted by a sea of smiling faces and positive energy. Strangers became instant friends as we shared our love for the music and the thrill of the experience. It was a diverse community, united by a common passion.
The music was phenomenal, and the Fckng Serious crew certainly lived up to their name. They delivered electrifying sets that had the crowd in a frenzy. Boris Brejcha, the legendary artist, took us on a musical journey that transcended time and space. His unique style and energy were unmatched. And let’s not forget the closing set by Moritz Hofbauer, which left us in AWE. It was a musical lineup that made this event the highlight of the year in Morocco.
Sound System Woes
While the music was mind-blowing, there were some issues with the sound system. The chosen provider Global Entertainment, had some glitches for about 15min (Promoter said that this resulted from a cable misplaced which they fixed as soon as possible. Despite the minor sound glitches, we couldn’t deny that the performances were still incredible.
Media Press and Water Woes
I couldn’t help but notice the lack of organization when it came to media press. There was no clear guidance or support for media and journalists, leaving them to navigate the event on their own, unless you are in the privileged circle of friends (Moroccan clichés as you know..) It was a missed opportunity to showcase the festival’s highlights to a wider audience.
Another aspect that left much to be desired was the availability of tap water. Ravers have always emphasized the importance of staying hydrated with alcohol and drugs consumption especially during high-energy events like Fckng Serious. However, it seemed that the issue of access to tap water persisted. To make matters worse, the cost of purchasing a bottle of water was exorbitant, with a minimum recharge amount of 200 MAD. It was a disappointing oversight considering the well-being of the attendees.
Euphoria and Unity
Despite these challenges, the spirit of unity and euphoria prevailed throughout the festival. The incredible music, the immersive visuals, and the vibrant atmosphere created moments of pure magic. Conclusion
Fckng Serious will forever hold a special place in my heart. It was not just a festival; it was an extraordinary journey of self-discovery, connection, and musical ecstasy. The memories I made and the friendships I forged will be cherished for a lifetime. Despite the challenges faced, the essence of raving and the power of music prevailed, leaving us with an experience that will forever be etched in our souls.
